Appointments calendar

Consultations with the doctors are by appointment and can be booked by calling at Derwent practice or by telephoning (01653) 600069.  When you make an appointment we will send you a confirmation text and a reminder the day before your appointment.  If you do not attend your appointment we will contact you by text.

All medically urgent cases will be seen the same day.

Telephone Advice

Often a word with the doctor can save an appointment.  The receptionist will be able to tell you the time your doctor deals with telephone enquiries.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Extended Access Service

During the Covid-19 pandemic we are still offering appointments outside of core hours throughout Ryedale to provide services 7 days per week.  These appointments are likely to be telephone or video calls.  If you do require an appointment between 6:30-8pm weekdays or on weekends, please speak to reception about availability.  Please note that appointments during Extended Access hours may be offered at Derwent Practice or at GP practices in Ampleforth, Sherburn or West Ayton.
